Our Programs

Training & Workshops

training-and-workshops.jpgIn order for our community members to best understand how to be good neighbors, the Office of Belonging and Community Engagement offer a number of training for students, staff and faculty. Our current trainings include: What is DEIB, Safe Space Training, Inclusive Leadership and Having Great Conversations. We're also proud to partner with the King Center in providing trainings in Nonviolence 365 and Bias Challenges.

Community Programs

Between having world-renown authors and speakers visit to present in our Beloved Community Lecture Series, civic conversations, and several celebrations and experiences in partnership with other departments and divisions, there is no shortage of opportunity to get involved.

Solidarity Week

Be Love Week

Be-Love-Week-icon.jpgConsistent with Martha Berry's motto, "not to be ministered unto, but to minister," Be Love Week is a weeklong campaign where the Berry College community mobilizes our good neighbor culture to serve in the Rome community. The week begins on MLK Day with a community gathering that honors the life and mission of Dr. King, and is followed by a week of service and partnership from various groups on campus.

Rome International Film Festival

through-a-different-lens-graphicThrough a Different Lens brings the community together in a series of free film events that show an incredible film about social and restorative impact. Berry College and the Rome International Film Festival hope to harness the power of learning together and seeing others through the lens of their experiences to continue building a strong future.
