In January, the Berry Eagle stream was switched from Livestream to Vimeo. This was due to Vimeo's purchase of Livestream with the intention to discontinue the Livestream service. Vimeo's 24/7 streaming service is NEW and currently does not include the same features we've been accustomed to - one such feature being DVR.
We understand the ability to rewind is critical to the usefulness of the stream, and we've asked Vimeo to introduce that feature as quickly as possible. We've been notified of their intention to introduce a 4-hour DVR feature in the first half of this year. In the meantime, there is no option for reverting to the old setup - it was taken offline at the end of January. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

It's been an exciting couple of weeks on the nest! We have had a few sporadic visits from both the male and female eagle, and we have also seen some unfamiliar juveniles visit the nest. One visitor even stayed the night!
As best we can tell, it appears there will not be any eggs laid this year. As such, updates will likely be more spread out. We will be sure to let you know if anything changes and will keep you updated on all of our visitors. We are also keeping an eye out for anyone who might want to take over the nest.We are currently working with Vimeo on our options for the DVR issue.

The eagles have been returning to the nest almost daily lately, and viewers have even spotted them mating. We still have hope for a normal nesting season – but just like us, you'll have to keep watching to find out!

As you can see from the grass growing, the eagles are on vacation for the summer! They may pop in here and there, and if they do we'll let you know.
Repairs to the cameras will be made sometime in the near future.

We are sad to report that B17 has died overnight. Though it had been doing well, it appeared to be in some distress yesterday and things took a quick turn for the worse overnight. It is very important now that we do what is best for the eagles and not interfere with the nest.

We have a second egg in this second clutch! Egg #2 arrived on 2/20 at 8:05 pm.

For the first time, the Berry eagles have laid a second clutch of eggs! Egg #1 of this second clutch was laid 2/17 at 7:11pm EST.

We are saddened to announce that on Saturday both eggs were revealed to have collapsed. There was no sign of any real contents, so the presumption is that this season's eggs were never viable. You may see the remains of a shell on the rails of the nest.

Happy eagle season, eagle watchers! It's December, which means that we are on egg watch.
