City Commissioner Jamie Doss to Speak at Berry College

ROME, Ga. – Rome City Commissioner Jamie Doss will give a lecture, “What is Community Leadership?” at 7 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 6) in the Berry College Spruill Ballroom.

Doss, a native of Floyd County, was elected to the Rome City Commission in 1994. An alumnus of both Berry College and Darlington High School, Doss has continued to serve the city of Rome for 25 consecutive years. He has been a member of the Rome Rotary Club, the Salvation Army Advisory Board and The First Presbyterian Church. He chairs the Planned Giving Committee for the Floyd Healthcare Foundation and sits on the Board of Benefits Committee for the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Doss’s lecture will conclude a month-long series at Berry which showcased different aspects of community leadership and professional development. As a recognized leader of Floyd County, Doss will provide insight to students pursuing a career in today’s competitive market and community members alike.
