Berry Students Organize Livestream Fundraiser

Two Berry College students helped organize and participate in a 24-hour livestream that raised $880 recently for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

“Our area and our peers back home have been deeply affected by suicides, including the loss of my best friend, so we chose the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as our charity to honor and respect those who impacted our lives but lost theirs,” said freshman Davis Murphy, who organized the event with his sister Olivia Murphy. “My friends and I thought it would be fun and a great way to give back.”

The livestream event consisted of various entertainment segments such as video games, storytelling and a "Bob Ross Painting Hour" with the artwork raffled off to one of the donors.
