Berry Dance Troupe Performs March 17-19

The Berry College Dance Troupe’s annual dance concert “Through the Ages,” opens March 17 and will feature an array of dance styles.

Performances are at 8 p.m. March 17 and 18 and 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on March 19 at the Rome City Auditorium. Tickets will be available at the door and are $5 for children and students and $10 for general admission.

“Through the Ages” features 44 Berry students and 14 choreographers coming together to take the audience on a journey into the past, present and future. The show will incorporate different eras through time and their rhythms and music, while also featuring a variety of styles such as hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, ballet and swing.

The dance troupe was established in 1996 by Jeanne Schul, a Berry College dance specialist and the current artistic director for the troupe.
